Gauging the entire shotshell is critical to check that the plastic hull is true. A shotshell that isn't true will be slow to chamber, slow to eject, and may cause feed failures in pump and autoloading shotguns.
Gauges shotshells in 2-3/4" and 3" lengths, including both low brass and high brass.
CNC Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and have an anodized coating for enhanced durability!
Color Coded for Quick Identification:

These are great!Boggus gave me one a couple years ago. This shell checker is an absolute must for checking 12 ga reloads: especially when shooting BP loads. After reloading, I drop each shell into this gauge. If it does not drop out freely when turning over, the shell goes into the practice box. I HAVE NOT HAD ONE SHELL STICK IN THE BORES IN TWO YEARS using this product and would not be without it. The real deal.
Great tool for loading shot shells for old shotgunsThis tool saved my marriage thanks guys
When my wife started shooting cowboy action she couldn't get her old 97 to close sometimes with our reloads. Turns out her chamber iis tighter than my old beater. Our shotshel loader didn't have any provision for sizing the shell. So shells fired from my 97 would swell. Then when we reloaded them and she tried shopt them they would hang up her 97. We got the 12 gauge tool and found out they were fat. So I got to purchase a fancy new shotshell press with a sizer. Now we check ever shell before it goes in the boxing stand. She gets perfectly sized shells for her gun and I get a new press everyone is happy. The bottom line is that everyone that reloads shotshells should ow one of these tools. It only takes a second to check a shell and be absolutely certain the shell is the right size. Thank you so much for such a great product. Happy shooting.
