Better expansion than factoryThe 45 powder funnel in my experience is better at expanding the case for bullet seating Without adding unnecessary belling to the case mouth. With the DIllon to expand as deep as I wish, the case gets a broad belling. While crimping addresses the bell, this is unnecessary addition of stress on the brass. I also noticed less sticking of the case on the funnel on the downward ram stroke. I am purchasing more, for 10mm and 38
1.5m rounds and counting. We were using the originals when Mr. Bullet feature 1st came out And they would wear out about 10 to 15000 rounds in so this was a godsend we picked it up and we have not had a problem since it feeds all types of projectiles for 9 mil 40 and 45 works very well. I would say I would always replace these with the same but I haven't had to replace them yet. We use them on 1050s Automated for our manufacturing company.
Much shorter than Dillon 9mm FunnelI think I like it. Just loaded up a new batch of test bullets, two different brands of coated lead bullets sized .356 and .357. Definitely like the "M-style" shape of this funnel, make a nice home for the slightly larger lead coated bullets. Absolutely no scraping of the bullet while being seated, and easier to index the bullet on the case prior to seating. Seemed to crimp nice aft seating, a day at the range tomorrow will be the test.
However... this funnel is a good half inch shorter than the standard Dillon 9mm funnel and my powder die is dialed all the way in just for this funnel to properly flare the case. Don't get me wrong, it still works but absolutely no adjustment left. Epic engineering fail... how do you make this a half inch short?
