The Mini-14/30 Recoil Buffer™ works the same as the M1A/M14 Buffer, by eliminating the op rod contact with the receiver. The Mini-14/30 Recoil Buffer™ will protect your operating rod, the weak link in the system, from excessive shock. With a Recoil Buffer™ installed you'll have less felt recoil, more muzzle stability, less action noise, and will extend the service life of your rifle.

Mini-14 Recoil BufferInstallation:
The Mini-14/30 Recoil Buffer™ fits onto the recoil spring guide rod (Buffer shown here in blue so it is easier to see). As with all other models of the Recoil Buffer™, installation is simple and can be done without any special tools.

The Mini-14/30 Recoil Buffer™ differs from other Buffer Technologies products, in that it does not end the metal to metal contact of the bolt to receiver. For a Mini-14/30 or M1A/M14 to operate reliably, the bolt must impact the receiver with each firing of the weapon. This contact is required to prevent excessive stress on the roller cam on the side of the bolt.

NOTE: Will not fit series numbered 1801-1809. Please check the serial number of your particular rifle before ordering.

— Mini-14/30 Recoil Buffer™ (1 per pack) = $14.95

requires trimmingafter installation I could not get the action to fully seat in the stock [5805] after a bit of frustration I determined was the square nubs at the bottom of the buffer that were keeping the action from fully seating - so I trimmed them off with a sharp blade and just like that problem solved Written by Oliver on Mon 19 Apr 2021 6:49:04 PM GMT
